It was about 7pm last night when we passed the pumpkins for sale at Top Shelf in Beacon Hill.
You looked at me and said, “Here go the pumpkins!”
“Buying a pumpkin is like making a verbal” – I said as I passed you the tiniest pumpkin I could find.
YOU RESPONDED BY SHAKING YOUR HEAD AT THE SIZE OF THE BABY PUMPKIN AND GOING FOR THE THREE POUNDER WHICH CONSEQUENTLY COST THREE BUCKS. Last night we agreed not running sucks, so you took to Instagram to post this!
We know you aren’t technically supposed to run for three weeks (Turn down for what? Tendonitis), so we agreed to meet and walk to the workout together. We would be injured together.
What we didn’t know was that one of the Pumpkins was sold to the girl who dropped her verbal!
While the pumpkin cost $3, the workout we had made plans to attend was priceless! The Kings of the Pumpkin Patch and Andy from Apple even graced us with their presence!
But you know ALL OF THAT, because you’re one of the good ones, Meghan — that’s why you love us!
You wear the white hat on most days, but Olivia Pope would not approve today.
While it’s hard to be a compliant patient or what seems to be a permanent #INJURYDECKER, we injured folks show up and show out because we love the community we are a part of! Though our marathons are in the books and in the past, we #INJURYDECKERS show up because our job isn’t just to CRUSH workouts for ourselves, but also motivate the people we train alongside. The sideline counts. 😉
PEOPLE LIKE YOU. SCRATCH THAT – LOVE YOU, so we missed your smile…a lot.
LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
Shanae aka Electric Smile
