Today was a bittersweet day. You see, one of our most energetic, friendly, knowledgeable, approachable, huggable, excitable friends attended his last Wednesday morning bounce & workout here in New Orleans for a while. Alek will be taking his talents to Washington DC as he has been promoted to a new role with the Satellite and Information Office with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)… in short, Alek is a big deal.
Heads or Tails (NOLA)
I’d like to share a quick note about odds…
There is a 100% chance this morning was fun.
There is a 9% (1 in 11) chance of being born with 11 fingers or 11 toes.
There is a 1.2% (1 in 83.3) chance a male age 18-49 is afraid of spiders.
There is a .01% (1 in 10,000) chance of being injured by a toilet.
#NP3Words – Guest Blog by Alek (NOLA)
Alek Krautmann, everyone. Our personal meteorologist, our most excitable friend, a loyal NP-er and now a dropper of wisdom. Alek wrote the blog below and shared his own #NP3Words. We’re not sure how something really becomes viral, but we’re hoping to get it trending. Share in the comments below what your #NP3Words are. And thanks, Alek, as always for being a solid member of this tribe. Enjoy!
Another 365.
What will 2018 bring?
Maybe it’s a new goal or resolution, maybe it’s a new job or new challenge at work or school, maybe it’s a new relationship or a whole new human altogether (shout out to all those NPBabyMommas out there). Funny thing is… We have no idea what 2018 may bring, but that’s life. We keep on living and grinding, one day at a time. But who says we need a new integer at the end of the date to dictate when it’s time to “restart”, “reboot”, “renew”, “redo”, “retry” and “resolve“? Truthfully, we don’t.
The Best Thing (NOLA)
“I feel like November Project is the best thing that has ever happened to you.”
The words echoed through my head as my best friend, Meagan, went on to congratulate me on my success with NP and the unbelievable opportunities it has brought me recently. And while being showered with love and support from this community and my tribe has made me feel more loved than ever in this past week, I’ve honestly spent more time reflecting on how right Meagan was.
Look What We Made You Do. (NOLA)
Are you levee for it?
Earlier this week, the following conversation took place between Matt, Alex and me.

The idea was initially attempted a few weeks ago when I played only Taylor Swift songs at the levee, but that time was on a whim. This time would be different.
This time, we had wigs, a planned playlist, and an EPIC workout to go with it. And don’t forget the BOUNCE.
Hump Day Humor (NOLA)
This morning, we planked… a lot. We also did some sprints, a good 18 minutes on the stairs, and we learned how to not get in the way of other people. This morning was nice.
But the EVEN BETTER part of this morning was not the workout, not the high fives, not even the sweat. It was the first installment of HUMP DAY HUMOR.
Humbled – Guest Blog by Tyler Mayforth (NOLA)
GUEST BLOG ALERT GUEST BLOG ALERT! Below is a little dive into the awardee of the Positivity Award this week, Tyler Mayforth (Check him on Twitter and Insta). Tyler is a loyal member and loves to rep NP at every race he runs. He’s fast, funny and embraces the true meaning of NP. More than that, he’s constantly #RECRUITINGEVERYONE and we appreciate his support and adoration for this tribe. Tyler, we’re glad you’re here! Enjoy everyone:

A Limerick on Pelicans

Brown pelicans are the bird of our state.
On land they’re comical, but do not hate,
For in their flocks and forms they fly,
Much like the strength of an NP tribe.
So let’s gather, Flock Up!, but don’t be late!

Announcements:
— Please go HERE for info on our upcoming night with the New Orleans Pelicans! Really, there’s already 40+ of the tribe going and we’d love for any who can to join us and bring friends and family.
