Let me set the scene.
Wednesday May 20th, 2009. ODU. Math Class.
A young #UTT2016 is sitting in Math class, day dreaming about his upcoming weekend at the Sasquatch Music Festival. The teacher realized he wasn’t paying attention and decided to call on him to come up and solve a long multiplication problem on the board. He failed. But the good news? The teacher asked him why he wasn’t paying attention. Kris responded with the only thing he knows. The Truth. He told the entire class that he was super hyped about the Sasquatch Music Festival, as it was only a few days away.
This teacher never assigns homework, but today she decided to teach Kris a lesson. She assigned him and only him WEEKEND HOMEWORK! This is what happened.. Kris fell to the pavement and gave his homework face (yes this math class takes place outside) ODU has come a long way since 2009.
His homework over the weekend was to see if he could start a movement (read free fitness) and count how many people he could have join his movement (read recruiting papers). Kris was stumped. He didn’t know what to do. So he did what he does best #justshowup. Kris Just showed up to the festival and decided the best way to make friends and finish his homework was to start to dancing. One person showed up, and then 10, and then.. well you know the rest.
Moral of the story. Kris gets his homework done. Also, This tribe and this November Project movement is here because amazing people believe in this free fitness community. Unlike gyms, November Project workouts are better when they are packed and here in VB we’re just getting started. #thetribeisstrong
