World Twister Takeover (BAL)

“Due to the scarcity of colored circles, players will often be required to put themselves in unlikely or precarious positions, eventually causing someone to fall.” – Wikipedia.

Yeah….pretty spot on to our adult recess morning here in Baltimore.

But, no. I have to say, this morning was just pure, child-like FUN. Last night, I felt like a kid having a hard time sleeping knowing this morning we were going to have the tribe play Twister as their workout. TWISTER. A giant twenty person Twister game at 6:30AM! There is nothing that will bring strangers closer together, physically and mentally, than a game of Twister. read more

Chase NP Olympic glory (BAL)

John Heuisler is a force, let’s be honest. He is a crazy consistent 5:30 tribemember that dominates the stairs and the workout with a quiet demeanor. But when you get him one on one, you are able to feel the passion he has for his family, this tribe, and this city. And don’t let his reserved front deter you; (We thought he didn’t like us or NP for a long time. We still aren’t sure at times…) John is one of the most dedicated core members we have and he will challenge you like you wouldn’t believe. John attended #NPSummit for the very first time and was one of the main refs at the NP Olympics extravangza. This is his story: read more

Let’s Make an Epic Shirt (BAL)

Things in Baltimore are getting fire-y, and this opportunity from The North Face is no exception. You’ve heard us talk about a design contest in the announcements for the past week or so, but then you saw the positivity award and thought about your tennis ball and where to get a sharpie and oh yeah Booyah Booyah Happy Birthday and SMILE, Gio’s taking a picture! Then you were off to your work day. And we don’t blame you. There’s a lot going on at 6:30AM and we want to provide you more clarity. So here it is. read more

Play BAL

Today’s blog announcements, brought to you in limerick form:

This morning was the greatest of them all,
When we went out and played some baseball.
After all of the hills,
We felt plenty of thrills,
As you slid and popped a fly ball.

Next week we’re back at Rash Field,
No need to keep your tennis ball concealed.
It’s now time to race,
So keep a speedy pace.
For a new ball, you should keep your eyes peeled. read more

Summit 4.0 From the 1.0 Perspective

This future dentist entered our tribe and lives and we have never been able to shake her – nor would we want to. Her spirit is infectious, her humor is out of this world, and her smile is perfect….for obvious reasons. She has fully embraced Baltimore and has made this tribe and this city her home. Summit took her international travel virginity and having her in Canada with us was really….just the best. This is Maggie Saludis, and this is her story: read more

Some of the Best (BAL)

“Wow. This was my first time, and these are some of the best people I have ever met in Baltimore.”

The above sentence is indeed real and it was indeed uttered this morning from the mouth of a newbie. She messaged the NP Facebook page yesterday, asking what it took to join. We gave the schpeel with the main theme of #justshowup. Because that’s what we are, that’s what we do. We can explain it to you all you want about how you will make friends, sweat, and have a killer time, but you won’t really know until you experience it for yourself. This newbie was ready and made her first verbal via message to us, without really knowing what it was. read more

The United State of November Project Women (BAL)

You’ve seen it around social media, heard it whispered in the ears of your friends: Kaelan, co-leader of DC, is one innovate, inspiring, bad-ass lady. And this blog will mostly be in her and Suz’s (co-leader in Philly) words, because the words are out there, the ideas are ready to explode. Now we need to make them shine and thrive here in Baltimore  – Mere moments after The First Lady took to her Instagram account to announce the first ever United STATE of Women… The First Lady of NP DC pledged to create the first ever ALL women November Project workout. read more

Do you Schwabe? We do, on the NEWS (BAL)

This morning was a fine morning for the NEWS world and for NP #WorldTakeover. If you weren’t on your computer or at workout this AM, November Project had a ever prime location on Good Morning America, spreading the good news (#dadjoke) about #FreeFitness, Bojans, sweaty and uncomfortable hugs, and a community driven lifestyle. Funny enough, WBAL TV decided to swing on by Baltimore’s workout this morning and see if what they have been hearing about NP matched reality. read more
