What do Madonna’s “Lucky Star,” House of Pain’s “Jump Around,” Huey Lewis & the New’s “Hip to be Square,” and Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” have in common??…other than their awesomeness of course! They all collaborated today to bring us another epic #DestinationStation with star jumps, box jumps, jumping jacks, tricep dips, push ups and shuffles & lunges around the square! And to wrap it all up a Girls vs Boys game of Capture the Flag.
Congrats to the GIRLS, who defended their last win by again defeating the boys.
37 in -37
Every now and then, something happens and inspires you to do something you have never done before. I expected to see 4 people this morning.

I saw 37.

It’s not easy to describe how surprised I was this morning when I saw your beautiful eyes this morning. And how we had a newbie join us on today, of all days, blows my mind! You all showed up because you believe in the November Project movement. You believe in building a better community and a better city. You believe that the best way to start your weekend is with a free hug. You believe that NOTHING can stop the tribe. I am proud of each and every one of you, and am glad that I know you.
Blizzard Tag
What do you do when you know that Snowpocalypse 2013 is going to take over the city for the next 2 days? You head to November Project to play Blizzard Tag and Dodge The Snow Sweeper. If you have never heard of Blizzard Tag, well, you’ll just have to wait until the next blizzard to find out. While everyone locks themselves at home for two days until the storm is over, remember that you worked your ass off and can feel good about relaxing until Wednesday, when we tackle the stairs in hell-freezing-over temperatures. #blizzardproof
Jersey Day
Did you know that today, Friday, November 29th is National Jersey Day?! Nope…neither did I until I was informed by our faithful leader Nadim earlier this week…who was informed by our faithful tribe member Dayle (@DayleNH )…we’re such a collaborative (and faithful) group! I was under the assumption that it was Black Friday…why wouldn’t we support our Southern neighbors in this annual commercial spending spree!!
Playground Enforcers
What do you get when you put together sumo squats, knee drives, front jabs, upper cuts and races through a frozen, frosty, playground??…A normal Monday morning #DestinationStation workout with November Project YEG!
You’ve heard of the Kindergarten Cop…but have you heard of the Playground Enforcer??!! After 5 warm hugs to take away the chill, the tribe channeled their inner enforcers and killed it with Sumo Smashes, Kick-box Bashes, Boxing Mashes and Playground Dashes! And as an added bonus…no one stuck their tongue to a metal pole in the playground!! Way to resist the temptation tribies!
Soul Staring
Today, we locked eyes and stared deep into the souls of our tribe members. We saw what they hold near and dear to their heart, and their darkest secrets. Was it awkward? Yes. Was it supposed to be awkward? Yes. Are you a better person for it? Debatable. Once we broke the ice, we made sure No One Runs Alone. Some people tagged along, others ran in an awkward silence next to their new friends, but at the end of the day, our tribe came a little smaller.
A History of Tobogganing

DISCLAIMER
The following paragraph about the history of the toboggan is pure fiction and is factually incorrect. If you are looking for information on the true history of the toboggan, you can do so here.
***
In 1884, Edward Zamboni, a great Canadian military leader, invented the toboggan as a vehicle for the Canadian military. It proved triumphant in many battles until his opponents moved higher up the hill than his troops were located. It regained it’s popularity as a leisure activity in 1965 when our great Queen rode down the hill in Saskatchewan during her visit to our great country.
Positive Friday
Positive Temperatures (this means above freezing for our American friends) for positive Friday at NP Canada today. Everyone high fived their way up and down the hill as we all felt like we were on vacation with the warm weather. If only the snow was yellow, then it would have looked like we were on a beach! That might have to be saved for another day.
Weatherproofing, Recruiting and the Watering Hole!
The next 30 days are going to be groundbreaking! We are going to shatter the ice beneath our feet and warm your souls with November Project love!
We have a HUGE night planned for you to kick things off!

Everyone is welcome!
A Day to Remember
Today is November 11th . Up in Canada, this is a day to remember those who have fought and continue to fight so bravely for us. We were honoured to have two of those people with us this morning.
When Richard and Calvin are not saving the world, they are regulars at the November Project. They have been around since the early days and are great ambassadors for our tribe, and our country. Richard and Calvin, we salute you!
