Today we decided to take the tribe on a trip down memory lane to the good ole days. And how better to do that than with some school yard games, and so we decided everyone needed to play a little Simon Says. Y’all remember Simon Says right? Its where you tell people to do things but you have to say “Simon Says” first. If they do what you tell them and you didn’t say “Simon Says”..Well then you get hit with a penalty. And being the group that we are, our penalty was…wait for it….BURPEES!! Never would have guessed that would ya? (Sucks for the tribe when the co-leaders learn what you hate the most!) Simon made people do everything from running sprints and skipping hand in hand to sit ups, squats and lunges. We figured since recess only last about 20 minutes that we would only make everyone play for that long.
Got A Minute?
The group had to stay together as everyone completed 400m laps followed by too many air squats to count. For those fast enough to finish early, they had to plank on and off until the rest caught up. Being fast can have its drawbacks! To wrap it up we did one minute of pushups, sit-ups, and mountain climbers, each of which were followed by a 100 yard sprint.
Flip the Script (Aka Nolia Clap)
Have you ever noticed that every other day of the week you hit the snooze button at least once? Well on Wednesday mornings, an alarm is not needed! The tribe is always ready to #riseandgrind. It’s like that Disney World commercial where the kid and the dad are both “too excited to sleep.”
Waking up Isn’t Hard to do…
Waking up on Wednesday mornings isn’t hard to do, it’s every other day of the week that is (Hell, Cameron was so excited after missing last weeks workout that he forgot his work clothes and is now sitting at work sans pants… In the process also creating our next themed workout). Today, NPNOrealized why.
