Oath of non-conformity [MTL]

Oath of non-conformity – Montréal July 19th, 2017

I promise to be unique
I promise not to eat prepared foods that have more than 6 ingredients
I promise to make a difference
I promise to have a kick-ass day
I promise not to repeat what other people say ;p
Good morning
Y’all good?

These were the words shared by Montréal tribe members this morning during the bounce…We are weird, we are loud, we choose to be different and we all have our reasons to be here every week at 6:29am. Let’s make a difference!!! The tribe is strong in Montréal. read more

“Sweet tribe of mine” [MTL]

The show starts off to the beat of Neil Diamond’s classic song “Sweet Caroline” in order to get the tribe going. Seeing dozens of beautiful humans touching hands, reaching out and singing out loud: “SO GOOD…SO GOOD….SO GOOD” always works for me. The Encore was even better when Sally chose to come around and made us all humble again 🙂 . It has definitely made week 4 of #dudewheresmycolead? memorable. What made it that much more memorable was the dedication of two lovely tribe members GILLA and FRÉDÉRICK on helping co-lead the tribe and giving us an ass-kicking. read more

Week 3 of #DudeWhereIsMyColead? – Guest blog [MTL]

Today’s guest blog comes from Martina Erdstein.

When I came to NP in Montreal last time I was home from college, it was just beginning to grow – still a kid that was new to the world and finding its way. Now, I’ve come home again and the tribe has grown so much! The tribe is big, and only growing. It’s fast, it’s loud, it demands attention. I love it when we’re working out at the old port and I see people passing by. They always stop to watch us, or smile at us, or come up to ask what the heck we’re doing. Because that’s the nature of the energy of November Project… we draw people. read more

One big awesome bounce – Guest blog [MTL]

Guest Blog by Jeremy Ullman & Jacob Grover – Week 1 of #DudeWhereIsMyCoLead?

On this bright and beautiful Wednesday morning (well it was raining but the smiles were bright) we bounced as one. One Big. Awesome. Bounce.

It’s been a special week: the incredible, irreplaceable Milana visited her extended family back home in the Winnipeg tribe and left Derek to lead with two all-star MTL tribe members: Jeremy Ullman and Jacob Grover. These young, aspiring lads were given the opportunity to spend a week in the life of a tribe leader, planning workouts and engaging in the social media experience. read more

Chuck Chicken and the Positivity Award [MTL]

WISCONSIN NOTES:

  • NP Summit 5.0 last weekend was EPIC! Witnessed amazing things and got our asses kicked by Wachusett Mountain. Happy to see NPMTL tribe members at the party. RESPECT.
  • Chuck Chicken made an appearance at our workout this morning in Montréal. He is now learning French.
  • NPMTL hands out our second positivity award to our tribe member Sulay. CONGRATS!

So tell us MONTRÉAL, how did you like that workout today? It was tough but your PRESENCE made it all that more easy. Maybe some of you might say that partner sit-ups in an incline is not fun, we had a laugh looking at you guys struggling not to slip 🙂

Seriously though, you guys crushed it today. We had all the right ingredients to start the day with a BOOM: the sun, the “not too hot” weather, smiles, hugs, dogs, laughter, sarcasm, Chuck Chicken, burpees, and ice for our friend Jeremy. More importantly, I feel that when we chose to wake up early, lace our sneakers and #justshowup at a November Project workout, we collectively choose to forget all our worries, stresses, deadlines and focus on the 40-minute workout on hand. In this connected world we live in, taking the time to live in the present has become more and more of a challenge…but I don’t feel that during our workouts. read more

What it means to be a part·ner [MTL]

part·ner

noun : a person who takes part in an undertaking with another or others, especially in a business or company with shared risks and profits.

synonyms: np tribe mate, colleague, associate, coworker, fellow worker, collaborator, comrade, teammate;

It all started 28 weeks ago this week but it feels like it was just yesterday. Two souls with so much love and appreciation for November Project and what it represents & what it brings to thousands of people around the globe chose to meet in a coffee shop downtown Montréal. We agreed to a partnership and a goal to deliver this awesomeness to this wonderful North American city. read more

Hugs, smiles… and donuts [MTL]

Wisconsin Notes / Notes du Wisconsin

  • Wicked workout yesterday morning and our first official tagging session – with new city tag followed by an awesome NP evening at The North Face Montréal who had NP MTL over for some drinks, food – including donuts:) – and a shop night.
  • Preparations have started for NP Summit June 9th – 11th in Boston. 2017: tagging, setting yearbook picture date and generating ideas for the Let’s Rise theme at the NP5UMMIT Party. Bring it on!!
  • This week’s blog post is only in French 🙂 So take out your French textbooks from grade school and dive back into the langue of Molière.

CRISSE OUI!

On this 12th day of April 2017, the 34th November Project Tribe was born on a rainy morning in Montréal, Québec CANADA.

Our friends, classmates, workmates, neighbours, running crew brothers/sisters, and a bunch of strangers gathered for November Project Montréal’s first official workout in beautiful Old Montréal. The setting was perfect. Spring was blooming and so were we! read more
