The NPSD Positivity Award… not canceled.

It’s been over a year since we’ve met in person but the spirit of the November Project wasn’t canceled along with the rest of 2020. In fact, there were times where it was stronger than ever. The most recent recipient of the positivity award during this time is proof of that.

Gretchen Walker has been an epic addition to November Project San Diego community since her contagious smile preceded her arrival in 2018.  Even though she was a self proclaimed “not a runner” from the start, she continued to show up week after week, and, little by little, this “non-runner” suddenly completed a half marathon!  But, her improved running abilities are not why she is special to all of us who know her at NPSD.   Her positivity and “go get-em” attitude has been a constant encouragement to others from the start.  She is kind and caring and will always go above and beyond to help a friend.  Running on a team with Gretchen?… There’s probably some sort of matching outfit coming your way. Running a 50k?… She may show up with a recovery kit and some bath salts. Just because she cares.  She started her own business healing people through massage and many of us at NPSD have her to thank for our bodies feeling good come race day.  This girl was a positive force to be reckoned with and there was no stopping her. read more

NPSD February Five Peaks Challenge!!

The New Year is well on it’s way and it’s time to start signing up for those 2020 races you’ve had your eye on.   February is also trail month at NPSD and we want to take it to the next level this year!  Introducing…. NPSD FEBRUARY FIVE PEAKS CHALLENGE!

Resilience (and so much more)

Welp, it’s that time of year. Presents have been opened, the holiday parties have ended, crazy family members are working their way home and we’ve all got a few more days to think about the past year and contemplate what we’d like to do different, better, more/less of in 2020. I KNOW all of you have “Make it to more NPSD workouts” on your 2020 resolutions list. But why is that? What is it that keeps so many of us coming back each week/month/year? Even when work or life keep us away for longer than we’d like, that first Wednesday morning you come back after an extended break reminds us why showing up at 6:29 each week is not only about the sprints and burpees you’ll evidently have to throw down. read more

An Entire Family of NPSD OGs

In honor of our 6th birthday last month we asked two of our OG’s to share some of their thoughts with you.  These two are about as dedicated to this community as they come. One is our resident DJ and the other is our coffee hour power planner.  But they are also so much more… They have opened their home to us for potlucks and parties. They have traveled all over North America for November Project summits and races where you’ll almost always catch them in some combination of lululemon and grass roots gear.  They are always eager to chat with new members and make sure they know about all things NPSD. They even manage to get their teenage daughter out of bed to join us some mornings!  We are constantly reminded that our community wouldn’t be the same without them and are so grateful they still choose to show up week after week.  read more

NPSD – YEARBOOK PHOTOS, CONTESTS & MORE!

This Morning Was Amazing. We worked hard, did all of the stairs and almost too many burpees to think straight…. so for those of you who didn’t write down all of today’s announcements (and for those of you who hit snooze one too many times) we want to make sure you don’t miss ANYTHING NPSD this week… read more

Taking a Deeper Look (SD)

Today we take a moment to learn just a bit more about two people who chose to be members of our NPSD community. We all know life isn’t sunshine and rainbows everyday (even in San Diego) and these two both understand how life isn’t about being the best. It’s about how we persevere and just keep moving. read more
