Hello everyone! A lot has been happening here with November Project Philly and the crew over the last week. To continue with that trend we wanted to invite you all to join us in celebrating and observing International Womens Day!! Woooo! We kicked off our celebration this morning by launching our Menstrual Product Drive that will go from Wednesday, March 9th to Wednesday, March 23rd. This product drive will be in support of No More Secrets, a local, grassroots organization whose identity is rooted in sexuality awareness and whose focus is to decrease risk in vulnerable populations through the development and implementation of sustainable programming and polices.
ABOUT NO MORE SECRETS and MBS Inc
Founder/CEO of No More Secrets

COO of No More Secrets
Led by Lynette Medley – M.ED and her daughter Nya McGlone M.S, No More Secrets aim to decrease uterine care and menstrual health disparities in underserved communities. As one of the only local menstrual product banks in the tristate area (Philadelphia, NJ, and Delaware), No More Secrets serve women in the community by delivering menstrual products to the doorsteps of those who are living in poverty or suffering from economic hardships. Not having access to essential menstrual products presents huge mental and emotional roadblocks for women in social, professional, scholastic and athletic settings. To combat these issues, in February 2021, No More Secrets opened “The SPOT Period” a storage space for menstrual supplies, as well as a resource center for marginalized women and girls. To read more about The SPOT (Safety, Programing, Optimal Transformation) located in Germantown, PA check out their about page here.
If you click HERE you will find a custom wish list that we have put together with some of the organizations high priority needs. When you place an order at the link the items you purchase will be shipped directly to Seember for donation to NMS. If you are local to Philly, you may also buy these items at your local drugstore and bring them to the workout if you would like. Otherwise, feel free to reach out to us @NovemberProjectPhilly on social media for other potential methods of coordination. The last day of the drive will be Wednesday, March 23rd. If you have any questions please feel free to slide into our DMs.
ABOUT THAT WORKOUT JAWN
The second part of observing International Womans Day was our workout being led by a badass duo of women alongside our leader Seember. The workout experience, crafted and led by Seember, Christine B-Tastic, and Jessica Baer, featured a clever circuit that would ultimately resemble a female symbol on the Strava app. This artsy route took you up the stairs with a partner, to either side of the middle platform where people performed 8 reps of a designated exercise, before going up and around the fountain at the top and resetting at the bottom with another exercise.

At both ends of the middle platform, members were encouraged to write the names of influential female figures, either current or past, with chalk on the ground. By the end of the workout the group had left a wonderful display of prominent female figures to be acknowledged by the group and any passerby’s of the Art museum steps throughout the day.

Who are some of the prominent/influential women you’d like to recognize? Hit us up and let us know. We would love to hear from you! Until then, we appreciate you for reading along, and being present with us. Thank you in advance for your support of our Menstrual Product Drive. Glad you are here.
POST EDITS 3/10: In an attempt to be more inclusive of all women this post was edited to strike Feminine Hygiene Products from the language for Menstrual Products to more accurately reflect the products we are collecting.
We appreciate your feedback and support as we continue growing in our service and support of an inclusive environment.
