#998 Flying Time (YEG)

Find the good…until next time….Ya’ll good……..do I remember how to do this? Haha ok so its been a hot min since my last blog on account of vacation but at the same time it feels like it was just yesterday.

After a stage race in Nepal, and some vacation time in Myanmar/Singapore I feel like this month has flown by. In very quick cliff notes the trip was amazing. Arguably one of the hardest races I’ve ever done and one of the most memorable trips overall I’ve been on. If you have the opportunity I cannot express how much I would recommend this event. The organizers, staff, and entire experience was amazing. Come ask me how it was at the next workout and I’ll talk your ear off – promise. There are a few blog topics that I wrote through my travels and they’ll come later but for now just know that it was fantastic.

It was a welcomed/weird shock being back in YEG and being right in the midst of Holiday decorations and Canadian amenities (not a single squat toilet in site lol). I arrived home late on Sunday night and as I plugged in my phone to charge before bed there wasn’t a second of doubt as to whether or not I wanted to set an alarm for NP. Sure maybe jet lag would take over but I knew of no better to get back into the groove of things than to be with the NP community. I could not have been more right. The hugs the welcomes and the kick ass workout was exactly what I needed. I’ll admit by 3pm I was near asleep at my desk at work but perhaps that’s to be expected. Like the workout/song today said the 12 days of Christmas are right around the corner and soon enough 2020 will be too. Time seems to fly by but I hope that you are able to take a moment and enjoy the present whenever you can.

Keep being awesome – Dhanyabad (Nepali for thank you),
