7th Birthday Recap, Yearbook Photos, #NPButtons Prize and a note on our Community Agreements (YEG)

Hey everyone!

Firstly, I want to share my appreciation for all of you who either showed up on Saturday to our birthday party, or sent messages wishing us a happy 7th birthday. None of it would have been possible without all of you, so we were thrilled that so many of you could share in the celebration.

A few things to cover with the birthday…

Yearbook photos are coming today! Yes, the very challenging hints we left about the workout caught some people off guard when it came to yearbook photos. But for those who were smart enough to figure it out, you’re probably wondering when you’ll see them. The answer is VERY SOON. And by very soon, I mean some time after 12pm today.

We played our final game of What’s in the Bag?!?!? and we need to know who has the full set! Our friends at Brooks have gifted us a pair of shoes and we’re going to do a draw from everyone who showed up and collected all 11 NP Buttons at our workouts. If this applies to you, send us a DM before the end of the month (including a picture of you and your set of buttons) and let us know.

It has been just over a month since I wrote the Be the Village blog post and I am hoping that we don’t lose focus on what was raised about human development. We’ve also talked earlier this year about our rules of engagement, the Community Agreements. And to make sure we’re all aligned, if these agreements don’t line up with how you want to show up in our November Project community, I’d welcome a conversation to talk about it with any of you. These Community Agreements are the basis for creating a safe and inclusive space at November Project. It’s easy to say you want to show up the right way, but sometimes it’s hard to figure out how. Well, here’s your starting point. This is how you can show up and to create the right space, and this is the expectation from everyone when they show up…be that virtually or in person.

Find the Good,

Nadim
