20. 17. Let’s Do It! (IND)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

No better way to kick things off than by showing that you are absolutely WEATHERPROOF. The temp was low (~20 F), but the real killer factor was the wind, which was just wicked. No worries though; a bunch of badasses #justshowup at these Indianapolis workouts, so let the wind blow, let the storm rage on . . . the cold never bothered us anyway.

this turned out really well^^^

Workout:

Would you expect anything less than some sort of up-n-over set??!! If you did, well . . . .

  1. Run up and touch the gold door.
  2. Side lunge/squat your way across the east upper.
  3. Dash down the south side and drop off 17 flutter kicks.                           dsc_0594
  4. Rush up the stairs to the gold door and tackle 17 tricep dips.dsc_0565
  5. Sprint through the western upper wind tunnel and down the north platform for 17 pushups (remember to add these to your 10k challenge total): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12me-bbgIHcgj2s3vqMs7VN5TVioo-s8-51u0jW8Bfoo/edit#gid=1777439151
  6. Love every minute of it so much that you do it again (and again, and again, and again, and again, . . . and then double all that if you’re Blake, Mike, or Ryan).

Notes:

  • Dress in your birthday best next week! NP_IND turns 3!!!! We’ll be on the south side celebrating the only way we know how.
  • No our bounce pattern hasn’t changed, just the memory retention of one of our leaders. A year older physically, a half century older mentally. Welcome to 2017!
  • Congrats to Jennifer Miller, our Race Day champ!
  • Jaden is once again masterful with the non-frozen camera; thanks a ton!
  • Keep at it with those pushups for all those partnering with our sister city to take on the 10k pushup challenge!
  • Buff update: the design exists; beyond that, uuuuhhhh…. Look! Look! Here it is!:

  • Friday’s workout will be at the obelisk (8th time’s a charm on trying to spell that without looking it up); park like you normally would for a Wed workout, then meet one block north [that is, at the obelisk (first try that time!)].
  • Bop to the Top signup! Get your teammates signed up, and put them here so we can all coordinate! (talk to Stewart Whitcomb for more info): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QbalYRHlRHE6yHEQ3NCpbtOm-fTTBBunW95Zm-O7Pes/edit?ts=586cea45#gid=0
