They say March is in like a lion and out like a lamb. Well, if that’s the case then good news for Race Day this month which should be a perfect 60 degree day with no wind. The snow was blowin’, but we still showin’.
Today’s workout consisted of an “up and over” pattern with dice stations placed on the north and south landings. Each person rolled a die (sounds morbid) and if it was even they did one exercise, if it was odd, they did a different one. Each station had different exercises and the reps for all were 20. And to keep with the theme of the month, when traveling on the top of the memorial, you marched (AKA high knees).
The exercises included, but were not limited too:
- Incline Push-Ups or Bicycle Crunches
- Tricep Dips or Flutter Kicks,
- “Core Thrusts” or “Butt-ups” (which was clearly everybody’s fave)
Friday’s workout will be at The Tent “sculpture” located on the South End of the Canal Walk. Bounce starts at 6am…give yourself time to park to make it on time. Parking is free on Washington St in front of the State Building (but it’s about a quarter mile jog to the workout spot).
Tomorrow we’ll be helping out with the Special Olympics Unified Fitness Day!! Spreading the group fitness love to all sorts of communities, we will be helping encourage, coach, and workout alongside the Special Olympic athletes. The event is from 6:30pm-8pm at Mount Pleasant Christian Church Life Center in Greenwood. If you can’t access the google maps link, the address is: 381 North Bluff Rd. Greenwood, IN 46142. Also, in case you’re curious what #grassrootsgear to wear, we will be working out indoors.
Next week is St. Paddy’s Day!! So dress accordingly…it’s also Pi Day so if you have something in mind for that, please feel free. As long as you #justshowup, we don’t care what you wear!!
Lastly – NP was feature in PR Week which is actually a pretty huge industry rag. It’s a great write up about the “marketing” power behind November Project. It’s kind of lengthy, but well worth the read if you have time. LINK HERE
Great job today facing the elements on yet another week!!
Hanging on to being #weatherproof,
