Our state is currently being ravaged by the most destructive and deadly fires ever, and we are hurting for our fellow Californians who have lost their homes and loved ones. Due to the hazardous and unhealthy air quality in the Bay Area, ESCSA has been cancelled (more information and details on The North Face’s incredible acts of kindness here) and we’ve been forced to get a little creative with our workouts locations.
We’re grateful for Ruby’s generosity for opening her tumbling gym (Ruby’s Tumbling!) doors to us to play and workout inside this morning. It was a goofy workout, with a Jane Fonda warm up, space- constraint circuit exercises, and not one, but two burnouts! Many of us have been cooped up inside for the better part of the last week, so it was great to get our heart rate up, see our friends, and feel the strength of our community.
But we’re just getting started for the week! As our friends across the Bay say, “ECSCA is canceled, but let’s still gather, you’ll still have all the smiling faces, positive attitudes, and NP hype you expect from ECSCA–you’ll just be saving your racing legs for next year.” We’re bummed about the race too, but know it was the right decision. If you’re looking for ways to help those far more affected us, click here to learn more.
NPSF’s Heaven Week is still on for the rest of this week, more information here.
November Project San Francisco has arranged an amazing workout at the YMCA Presidio, and we plan to show up in force. Contact us for the carpooling document.
We’ll be monitoring AQI, and communicate some volunteer or workout opportunities for Saturday during the day as we learn more.
The post- race (or volunteer or workout) party is still on– join us at Minna Gallery (111 Minna St, San Francisco) at 6pm! Come, hang out with you fellow NP’ers from near and far, and help NPSF take down this bar minimum! Be sure to get there before 10pm to avoid the cover charge.
Stay tuned for more details on our Monday pop-up. Location is AQI
