Heather V. and Kassi,
I regret to inform you that your winning passports have received a travel ban due to some missing paperwork. We haven’t heard from you, and there is quite the waiting list. Matt Siner and Billy Tressler have the two of you to thank for their passports receiving temporary permission. They have until the last LAX runner crosses the finish line this Sunday at Mountains to Beach to reach out to us with their shirt sizes. Should either of them fail to do so, then new passports will again be chosen.
Now that that order of business is out of the way let’s talk about this morning. I know the ninja workouts can be tough because we get so excited to see our friends that we can’t help but talk. However, everyone did a great job today with using their inside voices. Even Min used his inside grunts. The Venice canals are a beautiful setting. Calm waterways, boats docked, ducklings crossing the path, one lone adult duck quacking down the stream, and the pitter patter sound of feet crossing bridges. Delicate partner curtsy squats with intense eye contact was just what we needed to break up the canal repeats. Finally, we sat against a wall for longer than anyone probably should, and watched as one by one our quads gave in to the burn. Those blinking contests were legendary.
LA, you crushed it this morning!

- Random Fact: American pencil makers wanted a special way to tell people that their pencils contained Chinese graphite. In China, the color yellow is associated with royalty and respect. American pencil manufacturers began painting their pencils bright yellow to communicate this “regal” feeling and association with China.
