We’re Gonna Have a Good Day!! (IND)

Off the charts energy this morning as the hype made it all the way from NP Summit in Canada down to Indianapolis.  In fact, it probably made its way down quicker than I made it up to summit (see notes).

The Workout:

Partner Workout – Partner #1 does an up-and-over.  BUT, on the east and west sides of the memorial, the runner “grapevines” across aka side steps while facing this beautiful city of ours.  All the while, Partner #2 is doing a rotation of Push-ups, Tricep dips, and Plank Jacks (10 Reps each).

When Partner #1 returns, they join together for 10 hoistees before Partner #2 takes off for the up-and-over.

The Notes:

  • My #1 shout out goes Jordan, Savannah, and Madison.  Three siblings who read about November Project in a magazine (Runner’s World??) and drove an hour and a half from Dayton, Ohio just to do the 5:28am workout.  After the workout, they immediately got in the car and drove back to Dayton to go to work.  Mad, crazy, insane props.  I hope they come back and visit soon.

  • Summit 4.0 was E.P.I.C.  Those that were there can attest to that.  Those that were not, you missed out, but we will be bringing a taste of that energy right to your doorstep.  So much amazing shit will be going down in this next year and I can’t wait to serve it all up to you like a poutine at 3am.
  • My trip to summit can only be described as the most NP thing ever.  As mother nature decided to piss her pantsuit at around the same time I was supposed to land at JFK airport in NYC, my plane (after circling JFK in the air for 45 minutes) was not only late arriving by my flight and all others to Toronto were cancelled Thursday night.  American Airlines next option – get me to Toronto by 11:45PM on FRIDAY.  So an immediate “Fuck THAT” was said, I took to the squawk box and found Lou (the New Orleans Co-Leader) who was stuck at LaGuardia.  He randomly met two beauts in NP #grassroots gear at the gate and the three of them rented a car, drove across Manhattan at 4:30pm, picked my stranded ass up, and we drove 13 hours up to Blue Mountain.  We arrived at 4:45am which was enough time to drop our shit off and get to the pop-up workout at 5:45am.  The biggest take away here was that four complete strangers who had the same goal, cramped themselves in a mid-size sedan for 13 hours and had a fucking blast doing it.  I had no hesitation whatsoever and, actually couldn’t wait to meet who was coming to pick me up!!  That, kiddos, is what makes NP so amazing.  #worlddomination
  • Today’s workout ended with, what I have deemed, a “Hype….MAN”.  This will become a regular thing that we will be sprinkling in the mix moving forward.  You have to be there to experience it, so I’m not going to describe it on here, but it is NAILS.  And, I think we accomplish our goal of hyping up Casey for his impending domination of the Indiana Bar Exam starting Tuesday.  Good luck CaseDawg, we will be sending our good vibes your way!!
