The 2017-2018 dark season officially launched this morning as we faced off with the Royal Glenora stairs. While we officially kicked off the dark season today we have already had a pre-season to practice and get ready. We’ve navigated a dark stadium, practiced layering for temperatures hovering around zero, and braved the elements of sleet and snow. I am totally confident that the tribe is prepared. We are ready for whatever the dark season throws our way! We have proven for 4 seasons that we are #weatherproof.
Standing at the base of the stairs, leading the bounce, howling at the moon and then proceeding review proper RG Stair running protocol, it was as though we’d never left. You tackled today’s challenger with fierce determination, not letting that steep middle section defeat you. All of that off-season work at Commonwealth Stadium paid dividends as you each made it to Ezio Faraone Park with energy to spare for situp, pushups, and burpees.
And when that final buzzer sounded, 30 minutes of sweat, stairs, and work were rewarded with high 5’s and hugs – I say that earned the tribe a check in the win column! Way to win at NP this morning!
