They say a picture is worth a 1000 words…luckily you won’t be subjected to a 1000 word blog. Instead, we want to point out how perfectly this picture depicts 3 ways the tribe shows up for a November Project workout.
1. #justshowup to work your ass off
Look at that runner, trudging through the snow and working up a sweat. When you show up to an NP workout, we want you to experience a physical challenge that leaves you energized and stronger than when you arrived.
2. #justshowup to help your tribe
Look at that guy working to clear off the sidewalk. Sometimes you at November Project you may be injured and instead of staying in bed, or relaxing on the sidelines, you pick up a shovel and lend a hand to make the tribe’s workout a little better.
3. #justshowup to have fun
Look at the Oiler’s fan who cartwheeling down the hill. November Project provides us an opportunity to participate in adult recess 3 mornings a week. Whether it’s cartwheeling on a snow day, penguin sliding on an icy field, or splashing in a river at an accidental beach, sharing in the joy of the morning is what makes our tribe so special.
Monday – LRT Bridge for our final Bridge Month workout
Wednesday – 28:19 Race Day Royal Glenora Stairs
Friday – Walterdale Hill with an optional post-hills visit with CBC at the Victoria Oval (there may be some hot chocolate and goodies there too!)
February Challenge – #grassrootsgear around town
Limited details at this point but basically we want you to explore the city and its amazing events throughout the month of February and do so in your grassroots gear.
One event that a couple of your co-leaders are already signed up for is the Silver Skate Festival’s Edmonton Winter Triathlon on February 19. Join our team November Project Weatherproofers as we skate, ski & run through Hawrelak Park.
