Today we did #TheBaby. It’s the new official name of the workout that was produced when we put together those old favorites Raceman and Relayman. It’s a perfect combo of speed, intensity, partnership, and community.
And the much bigger theme of today was Together. Both because November Project at its core is about showing up together, being accountable together, finding motivation and inspiration and movement together… and because today, on the anniversary of 9/11, we need to remember–we need to be reminded–that despite the harshness in the world, we’re not alone. Not for a workout and not for life. We’re actually in this together, and that makes everything just a little bit easier. We’re better together. We work harder together, and we can tolerate just a little more discomfort, difficulty, challenge, pain, and unknown when we know we’re not alone.
So The Baby workout gives us the ultimate opportunity to be in it together, and to be sure that we remember how different it feels when we show up for each other and for ourselves. And while today is a difficult day in the history of our country, we can also remember the way that the events of 9/11 prompted New York, New England, the entire USA, and the world to look around, hold hands, hug each other, and simply stick together in our time of fear and confusion. We need each other, and we’re not alone.
Thank you for showing up this morning, and every Wednesday morning. Whether we run The Baby workout or not, this community matters, every single day. Together, baby.
