This shit really IS good. (Worcester)

These write ups always sound really amazing in my mind, and then when I sit down to type them, I’m not sure they come out the way I imagined, but I will take a stab at it.

As most of you know by now, Our friends on the West Coast just lost a tribe member and dear friend from cancer. Another vibrant light taken far too soon. I did not know Matt on a personal level, but I spent some time last night reading through posts and looking at photos. Once I did that, I watched the vlog he put out recently. Seems to me that Matt was a very big part of everyone’s lives he knew. What really stood out to me were the last couple minutes of his vlog where he said he had a really good life and has accepted his fate. How many of us in our last days could look in to a camera, and with such sincerity speak so eloquently? What a brave human.

I have seen the hashtag around that says #GetBusyLiving. Matt lived by this, and it seems so simple, yet I think often we forget to do that. It is so easy to get upset or distracted by the little details in life, and miss the big picture. There is a whole world out there waiting for us. I hate that we have to experience tragedy and loss to be reminded of this. Today is a gift, and life is precious. Make the most of it.

Where am I going with this? Well, of course I have been thinking of Matt’s wife, Casey. I can’t possibly understand how she feels, but what I do understand is she has an army of people that will make sure she gets through this tough time. I have seen it so many times among November Project, and even experienced it myself with the loss of my father last month.

November Project. Right? Think about all of the people November Project has brought together. I scroll through instagram and see all the #traverbals, and friendships created through those. I can say I have friends all over (and out of) the country because of this movement. We can thank Bojan and Brogan all day long for getting this going- I don’t think in their wildest dreams on day 1 they would’ve imagined what the future had in store. While they were the masterminds behind this, it continues to grow and thrive because of the people and the connections.

Whether you have been coming to our workouts since day 1, been 1 time, and anywhere in between that- You belong. The more you #JustShowUp , the more this community will continue to do what it does best, support one another and bring out the best in each other.

If you haven’t shown up yet, what is keeping you from coming?
