There And Back Again: A Hoboken Tale

The Tribe is… heading to New Jersey! We’ll be taking every bridge, tunnel, and waterway we can find to leave the concrete jungle behind for a special summer Friday workout in Hoboken, NJ. It’s the birthplace of baseball and Frank Sinatra and offers some of the most stunning Manhattan views in the whole metro area.

THESE ARE YOUR OPTIONS TO GET THERE:
NJ PATH TRAIN

Note: Take the “33rd St train to Journal Square (via Hoboken)” train. Each way is $2.75 (pay-per-ride MetroCards accepted). These are the times the train LEAVES each the station. You MUST catch these trains. The train after this one will arrive too late.
  • 33rd St/6th Ave: 6:00am
  • 23rd St/6th Ave: 6:02am
  • 14th St/6th Ave: 6:03am
  • 9th St/6th Ave: 6:04am
  • Christopher St. (between Greenwich and Hudon): 6:06am
  • Hoboken Terminal: 6:16am
NJ TRANSIT BUS
Note: Take the 126 bus to Hoboken from Gate 204 in Port Authority (42nd/8th Ave). Buy tickets at the machines before getting to the gate. Select the 126 bus and zone 2. It’s $3.20.
  • The best bus option leaves Port Authority at 6:05am and arrives in Hoboken at 6:27am. The pier is really close, so this should still be fine.
NY WATERWAY FERRY
Note: Take the ferry from the World Financial Center to Hoboken South. Pay $6.00 at the ticket booth for a truly magical ride.
$6.00 (pay at ticket booth)
  • Departs 6:10am; arrives in Hoboken 6:18am
CAR
Note: Use Google Maps and figure it out! There will be tunnel tolls. There are metered parking spots on Sinatra Drive along the pier and a parking garage on First St. between River and Sinatra.
