Today was a day of firsts for the Mile High Tribe. First day of aggressive boombox jams, first day of presenting the positivity award, and the first time that last Wednesday of the month PR day surprise attacked on the third Wednesday of the month. The lesson we learned today: the Tribe is ready. Today, we raced the Civic Center Clover like it was 50 degrees outside. Oh wait, it was. This is why we love Denver. It was so nice out yesterday that I got sun burned on my lunch break. Anyway, big shout out to those who were able to crush 10+ clovers in 27.5 minutes, let alone keep track of that many (Alli, Kate T, Nick, Richard, Steve, Ryan, Johnny). Congratulations to our resident PT Mr. Ryan Wooderson for taking home the first DEN positivity award. Get to know him and give him lots of hugs. He slaved away to bring the city of Denver perfect NP recruiting papers and smiled all the way through the treacherous moustache growing season of November. Despite Dan’s demoralizing comments, this kid #JustShowsUp. We love him, and so should you.
Turns out the flannel movement of last week didn’t stick as well as hoped, but we’ll chalk that up to a miscommunication and vow to be back at it next week. Don’t worry, the tribe is strong and tribe is still flannel. And thanks to our newbie Johnny, the tribe feasted on Health Warrior chia bars after dominating PRs.
Finally, we finished strong with a salute to our favorite lieutenant Dan, who could not be with us today. Get better LT-D, We Missed You!!
DON’T FORGET to keep recruiting more racers and stay tuned for updates about Christmas and New Years workouts. Have a happy tribal holiday!
