The Burpee Ladder (LAX)

Brace yourselves, the analogies are coming –

Burpees are hard. Much like reaching your dreams and goals. Both things are difficult and take a lot of time and effort to make easier. But it’s a climb. And as you climb and near the top of that ladder, the harder the work will get while your body and mind fatigue. However, there are few better feelings than reaching the top of that ladder, looking from where you came, knowing that you just proved that with hard work and dedication comes results and rewards.


This morning the fine people of #NP_LAX climbed that ladder, literally. Taking the bowl stairs by storm, they rocked out a ladder of burpees at the top of each section, increasing in number with each new level they hit. 4, then 8, then 12, then 16, and finally 20. And they rocked the hell out of it for 35 minutes. You know it’s a good workout when your shirt is still drenched with sweat from the 5:30 workout by the time the 6:30 has concluded. BUT BACK TO LADDERS – you are capable of climbing them. No matter how difficult, how arduous: put your mind to it, get one foot in front of the other, and just fucking do it. You have this entire tribe at your back, always.




FRIDAY – Meet at the corner of Fairfax and Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood.

UNITE LAThis Saturday at Noon all of the LA based run clubs will be having a pot luck cook out in Griffith Park Old Zoo, bring your favorite dish and meet some like-minded people!

THE RACE TO MONDAYS – 150 people at the Wednesday work outs, across both sessions, on a consistent basis. That is the goal, and the reward will be an official Monday to start your weeks off right. The deadline is the end of 2015… GIDDY UP!
