Bojan and I were asked to lead the workout this morning here in Boston, MA. The tribe showed up wherever we decided, did what we told them, and seemed to all smile as they ran back home to start their week. The bounce, the sprints, the hugging, the photos, and the truest community vibes were shared. Classic NP. It felt amazing to drive the car after being on the road, but out of the drivers seat, for such a long time.
At the close of the workout we asked Emily, Chris, & Chris to stand up in front of the tribe to show them their due respect. Capozzi, coming off an insane event last night, Emily, hosting family this week, and Payne, rolling up with his always supportive girlfriend, all stepped forward. There they were. The true leaders of the Boston scene, facing their tribe.
They didn’t have time to speak or give an announcement before they were tossed back into the sea of bodies preparing for the group photo in front of the Henderson Boathouse. And there we were. All of us. The Co-Leaders with their tribe. Bojan and I out of the way, the photo alllllmost framed up, the silence before the booming words of the Serbian… and then he said it…
Have a great day!
Faces of old times and new swirled around the iconic boathouse that had made Bojan and I into true athletes nearly 15 years ago. Hugs and smiles and sunshine were equally blended and spilled downstream into the city to start the week. Once the crowd had gone, it was Bojan and I, off to work on World Takeover. And there they were. The Co-Leaders of Boston in a tri-huddle talking shop about social media, the plan for the week, and what they thought about a recent group email chain. The backbone of the movement is these leaders and what they give to all of us. Passionate. Creative. Committed. Fun. Athletic. And most of all, proud. In two days they’ll join forces with 28 other sets of Co-Leaders and shake the fitness world, as they do every Wednesday, with another amazing NP experience.
…
In an interview less than one hour after running away from the boathouse the two of us were asked in context, “So it really is the leaders that make up the backbone of this movement?” Even though I know it is a very classic BG response, I couldn’t help but belt out at wrecking ball speed, “100%!!!!”
From Edmonton to New Orleans, L.A. to Worcester, and from Victoria to Novi Sad, Serbia, the November Project Co-Leaders make this whole thing happen. On behalf of members and fans around the world, Thank You.
The tribe is strong.
