Today we did a version of the Murph. The workout is named after Michael P. Murphy, a US Navy Seal who was awarded the Medal of Honor for his service. A stud and an American hero. The workout was challenging but the tribe was up for it.
We ran a mile (close to a full one at least) then did 20 sets of 5 burpees, 10 leg lifts, and 15 body weight squats. Then ran another mile. The tribe is most likely sore. But also, look how happy!
We performed this beast at what I like to call the Michelle Obama Gym. The words National Fitness Campaign are all over the place so it’s basically sponsored by the first lady. It’s a free workout area with pull-up bars, rings, boxes, and a bunch of stuff I don’t even know what to do with. Seriously, what are those rubber rocks on the ground?
Basically, without America, today’s workout would not have been possible. Thank you Michael P. Murphy for your service and workout named after you, thank you Mrs. First Lady for the weird blue space, and thank you tribe for kicking ass this morning. It’s gonna be a great week.
