For those of you who don’t know (Ashley not being one of them as apparently this is her favorite holiday) today is Johnny Appleseed’s birthday. Born September, 26’th 1776, Johnny spent the better part of his existence spreading his Appleseeds around the Midwest and parts of the east coast ( we hope that “appleseed” is not a euphemism) . Turns out the seed man wasn’t all nursery rhyme though…his apples weren’t good for eating , only for making hard cider (#history), thus Johnny Appleseed was responsible for most walks of shame and bathroom selfies during the early 1800’s.
Pat, Sydney and I really wanted to make today special for Johnny. We decided that wearing pots on our heads would be a good sign of solidarity…that was until the bounce started. That’s when I nearly blinded Lucas with a pot handle and Scout, our new dog friend, decided that nature was calling mid bounce. We quickly made the decision that it was best just to make strangers touch noses, call it a day and release the tribal beast on Bmore Hill. We did honor Johnny at the end by handing out the extremely exclusive ” Apple of our Eye Award” to an individual that …well duh, is fucking awesome. Our girl Leslie has been crushing NP ever since we talked her into showing up many weeks ago at runner appreciation day. She hasn’t skipped a beat since we met her and now she has a delicious Mcintosh to show for it.
Additionally, the hill record is now 6 repeats in 40 minutes. That’s the number to beat and Ben keeps showing up to defend it. #getfast
To all of you newbies who showed up this morning, congratulations, you’ve taken the leap. We can’t wait until you all start hugging random strangers during important business meetings forgetting that it’s not “normal.” It may take a couple of weeks but pretty soon the tribe will have you bouncing at your desk and signing off e-mails with “Fuck yeah.” Watch this video…it will help with the transition process.

Get hyped for Wednesday. P.R day is happening full force. There will be fun, there will be games, there will be hugs…but it is THE time to get after it. P.Rs will fall, oh yes they will.
