Today we played Roshambeaux New Orleans style. We want to make sure everyone knows that we did not follow the way Urban Dictionary describes Roshambeau…”A common trick to settle things. During an argument such as who gets the last pizza slice, one will say “Look, let’s settle this. I’ll Rochambeau you for it.” When the other asks how one plays Roshambeau, the first says “Easy, I’ll go first.” The first player then kicks the other in the redacted (nuts) as hard as possible while yelling “ROSHAMBEAU!” Then the guy who’s balls aren’t hurt runs off with the pizza and avoids the second guy while he’s hurt.”
Instead, we did the typical warm up- a lap around the Dome followed by a long 15 minutes on the stairs. I guess you could consider that like a kick in the nuts! Will then instructed everyone on our version of Roshambeaux-in other words, Rock, Paper, Scissors.
Everyone had to partner up, throw out a few rock, paper and scissors doing hand shake push ups and the winner got to choose what kind of “kick in the junk” they were going to give their partner. They either got stuck with running the stairs and air squats, burpees or some mountain climbers. All in all, all the tribe members went home uninjured and a little worn out. That did not stop our positivity award winner from smiling though.
Jen kept up her awesome attitude, kicked her own ass and set the standard for the entire Tribe this week. Jen, we are lucky to have you!
