Red, White, Blue and Gray Skies (SD)

May Gray is in full effect in San Diego (yes, that’s a real thing for all you non-Southern Californians) but that couldn’t stop the tribe from taking over La Jolla Cove one last time in our red, white, and blue.

We thanked our current and former servicemen and women with a super awkward group hug (I hung out on the outer edge to take a photo, it must be incredibly weird to be a newbie on the outside of the group – ALL NEWBIES, get in the middle of the group, it’s way less uncomfortable, surprisingly) and pledged our allegiance to the flag, we ran hills and stairs and did exercises and played odds and evens and odds (well done, despite the very confusing instructions), we self categorized as slow and adorable, totally average, and fast cats and raced our tails off, we gave a few hugs, and then we took a photo.

Today, like every Monday and Wednesday, was one for the books. Thank you for sharing your day off with us. Thank you for sharing your love with us.

MUY IMPORTANTE:

  1. ALL DOGS MUST BE LEASHED. For reals. Most of the dogs that come to NP are very well behaved, but it gets dangerous to have dogs running around under people’s feet while they are working out. If you bring your dog, it must be leashed and must follow instructions well. You’re a dog parent, you’re responsible for it’s wellbeing.
  2. WEDNESDAY is the day. Something never before done and never to be done again is going down. It’s also National Running Day. So be there.
  3. MONDAY locations for June are at Mt. Soledad. We meet at the stairs by the cross statue.
  4. NP SUMMIT is coming in July. Read this to find out more.
