13,000 people walked through it’s doors within the first 5 days of opening back in 1935. It’s been featured in countless movies and photos and has been the site of dreams, heartbreak, and a marriage proposal or 200. This morning we made the Griffith Park Observatory our playground. From the trail to the steps, LA was amped up and ready to play.

You brought energy and excitement on this cold fall day (an “LA Fall.” Let’s be real, 52º isn’t all that cold, right Calgary??) and kept smiles at 100%. From your best squatpliments, to exalting how you’re all stars, each and every one of the tribe faithful push hard to stay warm and motivated. A few times, I caught our friends in the Tai Chi circle gazing over with wonder and wishing they were doing gravity beater push-ups and plank hops. It’s always fun to get strangers into the mix and spreading the love is what NP is all about.

Griffith wanted the Observatory to be a place where the public could see the universe up close. Today I got to witness this tribe from a different vantage point and it was incredible. You’re an asset to this city and the community as a whole. Nothing makes me happier to rep this town than when I hear a traverballer say “wow, you guys are awesome!”

There’s a silly rumor out there that LAX is only 5/10 on some wonky unofficial rating scale. I think today proved that you’re a perfect 10 when it comes to spirt, style, and heart. Case closed. Rachel and I thank you for trusting in us to start your morning off right. It’s safe to say we’d do it again in a planck! – The other Steve

Notes: Many LAX members are up in SF this weekend for the North Face Endurance Challenge Series. Keep up with them here –https://www.thenorthface.com/get-outdoors/endurance-challenge/california/race-results.html
