Oh, the Weather Outside is Weather (PVD)

The cold weather…it’s almost here.  Which is kind of great, if you think about it.  Last January, we started our Pledge tribe in the heart of the coldest cold I can recall (but let’s be honest, I can’t remember much these days).

But a lot of our tribe hasn’t yet gotten the opportunity to see what it’s like to work through winter.  But soon enough, we’re going to get the opportunity to enjoy all that New England has to offer (Plus, it’s kind of rad to tell your co-workers about how you crushed stairs early o’clock in the chilly days of November – you look badass and probably get promoted more.)

And it wasn’t super cold.  35ish maybe – but the perfect temperature to do stair shuttle runs, mixed with jumping jacks, jump squats, and burpees.  But it’ll get colder, which will build strength, lung capacity, and resilience.  Now is the time to get prepped for spring races, Boston Marathons, life PRs, and everything in between.

Next Wednesday (Nov 21), we’re asking that you bring a canned good, or two, or twenty, or however many you can spare.  We’ll be using them for our workout, and when we’re done, we’ll be donating them to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank so we can help them replenish their shelves following the Thanksgiving Holiday.  So mark your calendars and set your alarms for that.

We will also be tagging that day, so if you have any cold weather gear you want sprayed for your Thanksgiving Day races, or to wear to dinner with the Grandparents, this is the time to do it.

On 11/23 (Friday after Thanksgiving), we are hosting a Pop Up Workout at Prospect Terrace (aka where Holly and Jack got engaged!). You have two choices on when to meet up –
1) 6:15am outside Jackrabbit Sports on Wayland Ave, and we’ll run to Prospect Terrace; or
2) 6:27am at Prospect Terrace (Congdon St, Providence, RI 02906)

Either way, our friends at Jackrabbit Providence have invited us for food and beverages following our workout, so we can run back (or drive….boring) to the store and warm up and drink some coffee.

Mark your calendars for that, and have the BEST WEEK!
