Labour Day weekend often signifies the unofficial end of summer… or here in San Francisco, the start of the summer weather. Get your suntan lotion out people! While people across the continent were off holidaying at beaches, cleaning up their summer home, and sleeping in this Monday morning, the Tribe got up and churned through a 30 minute “Lookout” workout in Fort Mason. We even had some notable visitors drop in to participate: a Boston tribemember, college friends from DC, a sealion, a family going crab fishing, and a nice little old lady who told us she went to prison before for peaceful protests! You go girl!
This morning also announced the start of September, the start of the school year, and the start of NPSF’s #BackToSchool recruitment drive. Here’s the details:

Well folks, it’s that time of year again — time to hit your local Staples and stock up on pens, pencils, erasers, notebooks, and Lisa Frank trapper keepers. Time to hit the mall and pick out an outfit for the first day. Time to scramble to finish all that summer reading you were supposed to do over break. That’s right, it’s back to school time!
This year, since most of you are adults, NPSF will be putting a slightly different spin on things. And if we’re being honest, this is really just a cleverly themed recruiting call. It’s time to hit the pavement, get the word out, and bring people back to “school.” We’re also looking for MANY more people to enroll. For an unlimited time only we are offering 100% full-ride bad-assery based scholarships. You heard it here first.
So here are the events:
Wednesday, September 10th – Bring a friend to NP Day – Alta Plaza
At our Wednesday workout next week, please BRING A FRIEND who has never been to November Project before. You and your newbie WILL be rewarded for this ;).
Friday, September 19th – Friday Hills – USF’s Lone Mountain campus
We head to the beautiful campus of USF to run the steps at Fulton and Clayton. There may be burpees involved!
Thursday, September 25th (PM) – Recruiting Papers 2.0 – At a bar TBC
That’s right, we’ll be holding our second iteration of Recruiting Papers at a bar to be named shortly. This is an event where we make hundreds of flyers out of recycled cardboard for members to take home with them and distribute. We will also almost undoubtedly get tipsy and end up dancing our faces off. I WILL embarrass myself.
Ongoing – Invite Fucking Everyone!
Seriously. Recruit fucking everyone. Your friends, co-workers, dogs, parents, estranged cousins, EVERYONE. Let’s make thing happen!
Wednesday, October 1st – Workout 200 (i.e. First Day of School)
Lastly but not leastly, BTS season will culminate on our first day of school where we will shoot to break 200 participants for the first time EVER. You heard it here first folks, we’re pulling out all the stops. Invite absolutely everyone you know.
