The weather has hit 18 degrees, the rain keeps coming and our legs are so pale they look a bit blue…must be summer in London!

But while the weather isn’t great, this is still our favourite time of year as global NP-ers drop through our city on summer vacation. We love having you visit! So for all our traverbals (or those coming for an extended stay), the NP London hive-mind has built an NP guide to our city. Please excuse the formatting – the content is gold, the presentation a bit rough (kind of like us at 6:29 in the morning?)
To give you a small taste…
- Cahoots, Soho: cocktail bar styled to be in a 1920’s tube station – ask for The Captain to get in. A bit cheesy, a bit expensive, a bit fantastic.
- Yoga at Sky Garden, Monument: early morning yoga on top of the Walkie Talkie building – great views of London in sunrise.
- Sir John Sloan’s Museum, Holborn: (brought to you by Susie, our resident Art PHD) “Sir John Soane was the architect of the Bank of England and a massive collector – he was best mates with Turner at the time and his house is FULL of his paintings – he donated his fortune to preserving his converted townhouse as a museum – it’s like stepping back in time. They have some of the most famous Hogarth paintings (think pictures of eighteenth century debauchery and financial ruin – what’s not to love) and they do a night-time candlelit tour there too which is meant to be super fun!”
- Soho’s Secret Tearoom, Soho: afternoon tea – like a speakeasy except it’s a secret tea room upstairs behind the bar of a pub.
- Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, Fleet St (central): pub where Charles Dickens used to drink. Be sure to meet your friends outside – it’s quite the maze (walk all the way downstairs to see the whole place).
- Graffiti and Street Art Tour, East: AMAZING Graffiti & Street Art walking tour (through Free Tours by Foot).
- Walk Regents Park to Little Venice to Camden: walk along Regents Canal from Regents Park to Camden market (very busy on weekends, but some good eats). Goes through Little Venice where you can spot some painted house boats.
And of course, come join us Wednesday mornings, 6:29, near Bomber Command Memorial in Green Park. Come for the workout, stick around for the coffee and a laugh.
See you soon,
NP London
