MSP Medallion Hunt!

Welcome to the first annual (ever? only?) November Project MSP Medallion Hunt!

For the folks that never read the whole thing here’s the tl;dr –
Get a clue on Sunday night, decipher the clue, go do a quick fly, walk, or run by workout on Monday morning, get a clue to the next location, and move along.

The full rundown:

Starting on Sunday, January 17th, 2021, November Project MSP will release via our Facebook and Instagram pages (plus this very blog) a clue to a super special workout spot on Monday morning.  Wherever you think the clue directs you, show up there between 6 and 7 am on Monday morning, and look for one of your co-leaders, braving the cold, holding the clue for the NEXT workout spot for Wednesday morning.

To keep things COVID-safe and to keep everyone healthy and cool – if you spot a co-leader, make sure you pop on your favorite mask,  come  say hello, get your set of clues, and then continue on with your workout.

If you do not spy a co-leader at your Monday spot, fear not, a new clue will be released on Tuesday and you’ll have another chance to find a co-leader on Wednesday morning (again, between 6:00 am and 7:00 am).  If you miss us again, another clue will show up on Thursday, and you can catch us on Friday (6:00 am – 7:00 am).

If you guess right and find a co-leader and get another clue, that clue will direct you to location #2.  You should use that clue to find a co-leader at location two on Wednesday.

If you are one of the super-sleuths that find a co-leader on a single clue on Monday and Wednesday, there will be a super secret clue to direct you to location #3 on Friday.  There will be a special clue given out at location #3 that gives these real-life Encyclopedia Browns a sneak-peak at some November Project MSP 7th Birthday Party News.

Have fun, sleuth hard.

Quick FAQs

  1. Can you use Google to help you solve the clues?
    • I mean, yeah sure, but that only makes it LESS fun for you.
  2. So is this like a regular in-person November Project workout?
    • No. We want to see you to say hello, but please plan your own workout for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning.  Collect your clues, say hi, and keep at it.  Please refrain from doing your workout in the area immediately surrounding the clue-giving co-leaders so that we can all stay safe.
  3. Do I have to wear a mask?
    • If you find a co-leader, and you want more clues, you have to be wearing a mask.  Safety  third. But actually first.
  4. Do I have to sign the waiver?
    • Yes, obvi.
  5. Is there actually a medallion?
    • The real medallion is the fun we had along the way.
  6. What if the clues are too hard?
    • The clues for each location get easier as the week goes on.  We want everyone to be able to find Location One by Friday morning.
  7. Huh?
    • We have exciting news that we’ll be announcing at our Virtual Birthday Party! Instead of telling you what it is, we’re leading you on a wild goose chase through some of our favorite workout spots to give you a hint about the announcement. So put your thinking cap on, try to figure out Where in the World Carmen Sandiago* is, and then repeat Wednesday & Friday. Show up at the wrong spot? Try, try again! Guessing a location right? Get a chance for extra clues and to see your co-leaders irl! Clear as mud? Ask questions if ya got ‘em *Erolf will be playing Carmen, obvi.
  8. Y’all good?
    • Fuck Yeah.
