It’s been a heartbreaking couple of days here in Baltimore. I’m not going to get into anything here, because we want these blogs to be as positive and kick-ass as the environment we strive to create every Wednesday and Friday. Let me just say this: I don’t exactly know where November Project Baltimore fits into all of this; however, I do know that we can play a part in the healing of this city. From day one we have preached a message of positivity, love, and inclusivity to this city. Our message has not changed, and our workouts are just as difficult and fun as they always have been. And every week, nearly one hundred of this city’s residents (and even beyond city limits) come together at 5:30 and 6:30AM to get a dose of that positivity. Our hope is that you take a little piece of that magic you feel from 6:30-7:20 and sprinkle it throughout every other aspect of your life.
No doubt, there’s evidence of that magic all around. From posters being made for those individuals and businesses personally affected in the recent events, to the support of small businesses here in the city at #NP_breakfast, to some of you venturing into parts of the city you hadn’t set foot in previously to be in community with other residents of this city – you have done it.
Per usual, every single one of you crushed it at PR Day today. I’m not assuming that you all PR’d, but I know that you gave it your all out there this morning. And that new #grassrootsgear looks FRESH – thanks to Sydney for cleaning up our stencils!
Nick, Sydney, and I talked a lot about how we could show our support for this city. We hope that this video, while a small gesture, is one source of light for this city.
Keep spreading the love.
