Live For A Good Time

I love it when a plan, and fucking amazing people, come together. Today we met in front of the Lakefront Totem Pole (very tribe appropriate) for our first workout away from the Field Musuem. Friends brought friends, who brought coworkers, resulting in our biggest turnout yet. The shirt-tagging went off with no arrests while we kicked it old-school to some Ice-T. OG’s & Newbies got down.

After our awkwardly close bounce and intro, we had to bring it down for a few announcements. Today marked the one-year anniversary of the passing of our beloved friend, and Colleen’s fiancee, Tom Ziarko. Tom always had a smile on his face, and if I could think of a person who embodied everything that we are at November Project Chicago, its him. One of  his mottos to live by was “You live for a good time, not a long time,” fuckin A man. This workout is for you!

We broke off into groups for a quick warmup down Addison to Wrigley Field. Push-ups, burpees, and hoistees for an appetizer. Wall sits and suicide squeeze’s  down Waveland for breakfast. Thats the best looking, and most classy group of people Ive seen down Waveland in a while (Zing)! We brought it in, woke up Wrigleyville with one last “Fuck Yeah” and dissapeared into the city morning like workout ninjas. One thing is for sure, we had a damn good time today. Heres to you TZ!
