Returning to Commonwealth always reminds me of my NP origin story….. that was my first experience in June 2014 (shitballs, that’s a long time!!)
Over the last few years though, something new has happened from those good ol’ days at Commonwealth.
The smoke.
Who was there that apocalyse day in Summer 2019? The sky was dark for a long time. And then it was orange. Nuts.
Though today wasn’t that nutty, it wasn’t a bluebird morning (though the photo certainly looks that way, doesn’t it?).
If this happens again to us, Rob and I want to remind you to take care of you first. Yes, we are all excited to be back in the raddest (is that how you spell that?) location in #yeg. And also, we’ve got all season. No need to hurt your lungs or get the spins or whatever other response happens to you from the smoke.
Also…
It was pretty awesome being back in the stadium.
Thank you to the City of Edmonton for making our dreams come true for another season. On a very big year for our NP crew.
The big 1-0!
