LAX PR Day + LA Marathon Water Station Update

What day is it? PR DAY! You betcha, the last Wednesday of the month and it was a smashing success for round 2 of PR day 3.0. Did you track your time? Enter it HERE . Wrote it on that lovely green poster board? It’ll get updated later today when I retrieve the poster from my car. Missed out on the fun? That’s ok! We have another PR day in just 4 short weeks and you can find us THIS Friday at Cheviot Hills Park for a free workout at 6am to kickoff your weekend.

So things that are happening out here in LA. We are still in what we call a cold spell (everyone around the world can roll their eyes but it’s true) but that doesn’t mean we can’t show up for one another. There’s a PR week/February social happening Friday night at 8pm at Oil Can Harry’s and then there’s LAX’s 5th birthday happening next week (Facebook Invite here so invite all your friends and family).

Los Angeles Marathon is 3/24 Yes, it’s now less than 1 month away!! That being said, we are STILL looking to fill up an awesome water station at Mile 22. Trust me, this is the place where people need our help handing out water and screaming out butts off. I know that when I ran by the Chicago Marathon station at Mile 22, it was life-changing. So let’s do our part and show Los Angeles what November Project is all about.

Volunteer timing – The shift starts around 6:30am or so and goes until 2pm when we are usually cleared to leave. I know this sounds like a long time but again, this is an EXCELLENT way to give back, volunteer for the city, and spread those November Project community vibes. Have to leave early or can’t make it until 12? Reach out to Molly Pearlman and Rachel Goldstein. They would be happy to answer any questions and have some tips!

FACEBOOK EVENT HERE FOR DETAILS (all caps necessary? yes I think so)

BUFFS. Those amazingly turquoise neck warmer or head scarf or tube tops you’ve seen around? Well, we’ve got buffs for those who pre-ordered and are starting a waiting list for those interested. NO guarantee that if you are on the waitlist you’ll receive one as we have very limited left. But first come first serve to those who show up at the workouts on the wait list.

Other than that, Do Good LA.

Fun Fact: In 1996 the LA Marathon was the first major United States marathon to use chip timing in which casino online runners times were measured by transponders and radio receivers. Now you know.
