Just for the fun of it (DEN)

Today we exercised our ankles, shoulders, and knuckles via slaloms, hugs, and HOISTEES ™. The positivity award was passed from Freespirit Luke to Fresh Outta Compton Travis. We transfer the positivity award a little different here in Denver, such that our tribes mates pass the rugged oar handle amongst one another. The LieutenantGeneral endorsed this early on, as it was evident that those on the front lines had a better perception of the raw encouragement and inspiration perspiring from their workout mates.

The simple pass of the baton from one tribesmate to the next, a proud hug from benefactor to beneficiary. We don’t talk enough about our positivity award recipients each week, because it’s more of an inner-tribe thing. If you don’t know, now you know.

What is the Positivity Award?
A replica oar handle hand-engraved by our founding fathers in Boston.  Blood, Sweat, & Tears.

Who deserves to get the Award each week?
You. You just show up each week. You encourage others to push themselves to achieve fitness goals. You inspire and invigorate others through your demonstration of hard work and determination. You provide a welcome embrace to newbies, demolish their first-timer insecurities, and you constantly recruit more racers.

What should I do with the Award?
Bask in the limelight. You have been selected amongst your peers to represent your tribe for the week. You kick-ass, the tribe is delighted by your presence, and we like having you around. This is your chance to douse the tribe with your personality: post pictures of the oar on mountain tops, in bars, at your office, and definitely recruit more racers with it. Bam Bam.
