You know those days when you don’t want to get out of bed? You roll over, see that your clock says 5:00 a.m. and you feel awful? You didn’t get to sleep last night until midnight, but did get an extra 30mins of sleep on the train because you missed your stop. Then you get out of bed, roll over, snooze the alarm and start your way to the workout. You get there and no one is there. You ask, why did I even get out of bed this morning? Why did I run to get here with this heavy backpack? Should I just leave because I feel like MEGADEATH. Then the people start showing up from all over. One after the other. Then you know it was all worth it. Everything starts to make sense. Smiles and hugs all around with each new face. Some faces are old, some are brand new.
With that feeling we went through a workout of death. Three grueling segments of hills, burpees/planks, and bear crawls/step-ups. After breaking the group up in three’s–it was non-stop rotation after 7 hardcore minutes of each. While some people were going up high on the step-ups, others were struggling to keep that perfect plank. It was beautiful! 5 burpees and 30 secs of plank for 7 minutes? Really that is all you are going to throw at us? Yea. How you like me now?
John got out there and tried his best at his first attempt on our #GrassrootsGear day. Tagging like a high school kid on the weekends.
Next week will be EPIC– we will be sending our Boston Marathoners off in the November Project way. Don’t miss out. 6:28 a.m. Wear your #GrassrootsGearShare via socials:
