This morning was an icy one (This is the understatement of the year, and it’s only January so yeah, you know was real bad). I don’t know if you are aware of this thing about Montréal, but this city has deeply upset her Mother Nature. It is clear to those of us who take the time to notice, that Mother Nature has subsequently decided to both punish her daughter (our beautiful city) with horrendous weather, but then has also proceeded to torture her with seemingly nice weather to lure her into a false sense of security, only to declare icy fires of hell unto her.
Which brings us to this morning: We unintentionally replaced every activity that we had planned for the workout with slip n’ slide and we asked for 2 volunteers to test out if it really was in fact that icy with their butts. Both obliged with enough gusto that they successfully tricked the other tribe members into thinking that it was unintentional and that they had wiped out (Phew. You’re welcome Jake and Nadine. Great save.)
Amidst the chaos, we still laughed, hugged, and worked hard.
Special shout out to our 2 human newbies this morning (How does it feel to have been upstaged by a dog?) and a brief reminder that the recruitment challenge is ongoing so bring your friends, your family, the stranger on the metro, your fave barista, your least fave barista, and any and all dogs that you have ever known.
Have a great week and try to stay planted on your feet!
