I Missed You

What happened?!? Last night before we went to bed, I thought we all talked about meeting in my apartment at 6:30am instead of the usual Summit Ave venue. We agreed to it… We were gonna do waffle squats with pancake push ups as our PRDay workout. I was gonna put maple syrup dots on everyone’s hats when they PR’d. It was a perfect plan!

But then you didn’t show up.

None of you did…

You didn’t even let me know that you all decided to meet on Summit Ave and that you were gonna bail on me. You didn’t even let me know that you were gonna run hills for breakfast instead of eating pancakes and waffles. You didn’t even let me know you were going to run and hug and sweat with each other in Brookline without me. You didn’t tell me you all planned on PR’ing the crap out of those hills and you didn’t want maple syrup dots at all.

Thanks!

It feels super good to be left out of all the fun.

I’m glad you all had a GREAT TIME without me. I’m glad to know you all know how to have fun even when I set my alarm for Tuesday instead of Friday–I MEAN–when you decide not to meet me at my apartment for the workout. Yeah… that’s what happened.

In all seriousness though, November Project was founded on accountability. We all show up because regardless of the weather we’re gonna be there for each other. We don’t show up out of fear of shaming. We razz each other for not showing up because it’s funny, and sleep is never better than NP. The best part is, if you DO miss out. You actually have that feeling. That I actually missed you all this morning. I got to work this morning and was super bummed. You guys make my day each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. And screw missed alarms, or bullshit reasons. What it actually comes down to is–this morning?

I missed you.

Now I just have to figure out what the hell I’m gonna do with all this breakfast food…

See you Monday. #Verbal?

Much Love,
– C. Payne
