I believe I can fly (LAX)

Today’s workout was tough, and the trickery that went into the burnout definitely caused a lot of side-eye shade to be thrown my way. BUT, the absolute best moment came after all was said and done.

We’re the weirdest tribe, and this morning we showed why. The best part is we had a few traverbalers witness our shenanigans. Sebastians had ended with R Kelly’s I Believe I Can Fly just beginning. As we got you guys to gather up for announcements I kept singing until Steve turned the speaker off. Nothing out of the ordinary there. You guys have heard me sing so he was really doing you a favor. So it was time for announcements right? Wrong. Without skipping a beat someone picked up singing, and then another, and another. Before long the whole tribe was singing and swaying back and forth. It was magic, and of course we followed choir practice with a deadly murder whisper rendition of Happy Birthday. I’m still smiling from ear to ear.

Oh we also worked out this morning. Inchworm pushups to the sand volleyball court. Bear crawl through the sand to mid-court where 10 squat jumps waited for you at the net, and then bear crawl under and through to the other side. Run a lap around the park and finish with 15 dips. Rinse, wash, repeat for 30 minutes. Burnout at the basketball court by running suicides, oops I meant Sebastians. Kudos to Mia from New Orleans leading our 630 Bounce. Hopefully I’ll learn from her and that will lead to me having less awkward Bounces. Probably not, but being awkward is kind of my thing.
