There’s never a dull moment at November Project West LA, literally never– however, this morning was definitely one of those sparkling, fierce, energetic mornings that gave me all sorts of feels and excitement. Maybe it’s because I was out of town last week and haven’t seen this crew for 11 days- which isn’t that long, but when you’re used to seeing your people once a week, 11 days away feels like a lifetime!!
Today we did a new course that was inspired by an old course we used to do at November Project Los Angeles when we were in the Hollywood Bowl. It was called J-Baby, and so today we launched our official ‘Hey Baby’ workout. We utilized the stairs, track AND hill- which we’ve never done all 3 in a single workout, and it was an absolute blast!! The course was spread out but thanks to having 75+ people with us today, it still felt contained and rich.
I love when a new person shows up. I love EVEN MORE is when a new person comes back the very next week, and the next… and suddenly becomes a regular. Watching that consistency brew makes me the most proud of what we’re doing here- because it’s proving that this is a fun, welcoming community that is willing to accept anyone who walks into the stadium.
We’re so proud to give the positivity award to Jose, who’s been with us since day 1 and is a darling ray of sunshine every single week. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this guy in a bad mood. Everytime I’m around him I feel extremely giddy, silly and happy- and I know it’s because the energy he gives off is exactly that. He’s the kind of guy you want to have around and on your team. If you haven’t befriended him, trust me when I say he is one of the most inclusive and accepting friends I’ve ever had and I’m so proud to know him.
