How does November Project Orlando know that they are pirates? They think, therefore they Arrrr!
This crew had all hands on deck Wednesday morning, as they warmed up with a bounce so fierce, it would have the spirit of Davy Jones shaking in his boots. Then, the scallywags were divided into two teams and given a few minutes to get reacquainted with their shipmates and come up with a team name. Team Castaways and Team Wilson were given the location of two treasure boxes where they would find booty in different denominations. They would then race back to cash in that booty on the mainland. The tariffs they paid ranged from raising A-hoysties to Row your Boats and Pirate Partner Pushups to the dreaded Blackbeard’s Burpees! Those who were putting in the most effort were rewarded with special jewels. Team Castaways was declared the winner in the end, but only by one peg leg and only because Dyani ran out of jewels. Because, honestly, you all #crushedit this week!
The sweet spray of salty sweat was in the air as we concluded the mornings mayhem with a game of Pirates and Sailors. The Pirates were trying to collect as much booty as possible without being tagged and taken to jail by a sailor. There were far more sailors then pirates, ensuring that all suspects were apprehended, and no fun was had by anyone. Thanks mateys, fer always welcomin’ new swashbucklers to the crew and fer always workin’ so hArrrrrd!!!

Finally, in staying with the theme of ‘sTeptember’, I found the following quote to guide you through your weekend and all of your days to come.
“Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than those you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from safe harbor. Catch the wind in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
-Mark Twain
