Yes. You can say this. Despite what some may have had you believe in recent times, it’s not racist or anything like that. I am a brown girl (woman, actually). And I was in the rain this morning.
Confession: my entire life, I thought Boney M’s song was Brown Girl in the Rain.
It’s Brown Girl in the Ring. Which you likely know.
I only learned the actual name of this song like 2 or 3 years ago. My hubby heard my singing it (likely on a road trip or something like that) and he was like… “what did you just say?”
And the teasing ensued. For very obvious reasons.
This song was especially fun when I was a kid, playing in the warm puddles on a rainy day in muggy Toronto. It was the theme song for rainy, slip n slide (on the grass) days when my sisters and I were kids. At least it was in my head. Hahaha.
In conclusion, when you see me out there on a rainy morning, maybe you too will be singing Brown Girl in the Rain in your head, like I do.

So, what’s happening?

Not only does he epically crush stairs and hills, he usually does so with one or two (heavy) cameras in tow. Something special is happening to acknowledge this amazing human as well as to celebrate YOU. Yes, you!
