Boston Film Screening: “Showing Up”

Boston is home to one-half of Dooster, the film magician duo responsible for creating the new NP Documentary, “Showing Up.”

It’s also home to one of the dudes with an incredibly important story shared in the film, that of Jesse Ledin.

It’s ALSO home to the original tribe of racers, runners, huggers, and all-around world changers.  The oft called #mothership.  And nowhere else will the party be more meaningful, significant, emotional, and pride-filled, than in Boston.  Bojan is already crying.

OFFICIAL DEEEEEEEETAILS FOR EVERYTHING RIGHT HERE:

WHEN: Saturday, November 19, 2016.  6:30PM

WHAT: “Showing Up” screening.  (film created by Dooster, powered by The North Face) Watch the official trailer.

RSVP on FB event here

WHAT ELSE: Fun Run from the meeting spot to the screening location.  +  Social afterwards with socialness, hugs, beers, and Bojan still crying.

THEME: #TopHalfFormal.  Top of your body is super formal.  Black-tie formal.  Bottom half is super not formal.  The bigger the contrast the better.  Bow ties, but no high heels.  Tiaras, but no tuxedo pants.

RUN INFO: We are meeting at the Watertown Mall, 550 Arsenal St. Watertown, MA for a bounce, before running just over 2 miles to the film screening location.  Anyone who needs a shorter course will have an option of a 1 mile run/walk to the same location.

PARKING: It’s a mall parking lot.  You know what to do.

FILM SCREENING INFO: It will start at the Publick Theatre in Christian Herter Park sometime between 7 and 7:20pm.  The film is about 30min long.  We will have time for Q&A with Dylan and Jesse following the screening.

if you are showing up only for the screening, please do not park in the Christian Herter parking lot.  We are trying to avoid drawing attention to our secret viewing location and we think that a couple hundred cars might do that.

SOCIAL INFO: We will be gathering at Miller’s Ale House (conveniently right across the street from where we parked our cars and bikes) 617 Arsenal St, Watertown, MA 02472 for a good old fashioned NP social.  Bring your ID and $$ for drinks & food if you plan to drink and eat.  Estimated arrival of the tribe at Miller’s is between 8 and 8:30pm.

CAN’T RUN? You can bike, scooter, or travel in any way you like from the 6:30pm meet up spot to the screening location.

If you are injured or unable to join the group going from the mall at all, please put your name on the list here–we need to know how many people are in this group–both to coordinate carpools (we want to minimize parking in the Christian Herter parking lot) and to get some volunteer help at the screening location.

CAN’T MAKE IT? FOMO is real and we want all tribe members to get to see the film.  You are guaranteed access to it on Dec 1, for free, on YouTube.  Still sad to miss this screening?  Us too.  #TheTribeIsStrong
