Bornnnnn in the Queen Cityyyyyy

Forgive us in advance and please set your expectations very low – this is the first blog post for November Project Queen City and there is a lot to talk about. Since arriving back in Regina from NP 5ummit, we have a newfound appreciation for our workouts, a refined focus/purpose. We still get up early, we still get sweaty, we still have a friggen’ great time – none of that has changed. One thing we’re really trying to focus on is bringing our tribe together and having our crew get to know one another a little better. Come by yourself, bring a friend, who cares – we just want everyone to meet someone new (and give them an awkwardly sweaty hug) every time they show up. We want people to come and work on their 6 packs, but we also want them to meet new friends who they can go drink a 6 pack with.

With that being said, BOOM, lets grab breakfast together post NP on Wednesdays? Sayyyy 6:44 AM at Smitty’s at the Golden Mile Mall? Come by yourself, bring your own dad, whatever – JUST SHOW UP. Speaking of Dad’s – Happy belated Father’s Day to all the Dad’s out there. Please (and I mean this) bring your shitty Dad jokes along with your Dad bods every Wednesday.

November Project Queen City had our first workout in the rain last week and it was so much fun. This community of people never fails to absolutely amaze me with their positivity and f*ck yeah attitude! Today, we kicked off the longest day of the year off with an absolute banger of a workout. 50+ smiling faces leaving “the leg” this morning after that workout makes my heart so happy. Can’t wait to see everyone back next week.

Speaking of next week, we do have a few reminders for the upcoming weeks:

TAGGING DAY – Wednesday June 28th. Reminder to bring a coloured shirt (the more ridiculous, the better) that is NOT polyester (the spray paint doesn’t mesh well with that material) and we’ll tag that baby for ya.
Freedom Run – Canada Day. Hit up @asiebz or @ashivvs for details.

This NP movement is awesome. Recruiting more and more members gets us so stoked. Like this morning when @ashivvs went up to a running group and asked them to join us next week – and they’re so excited to come! So PLEASE, extend that invite to a friend, to a stranger, to a coworker. Tell them all they gotta do is #JUSTSHOWUP. Regina, you guys rock.

Until next time.
