Three “Old Timers” at NPSD were asked to step in and give the leaders a break this week. A great honor to lead the community that has given so much back to them. These 3 have been coming to November Project San Diego consistently since the tribe was first brought together over 3 years ago.
Tom “The Legend” Dorio Lead the tribe in a bounce that will never be forgotten. Alma? Holly the OG Baby Mama? The perfect combination of hilarious and ridiculous, he had the tribe fully bought in from the moment it started. Classic Tom!!!
Kev “Skiptrippin” Sgam, orchestrated a finely tuned challenging workout, called the Triple Deck Threat. Trickling in many thoughtful anecdotes as a reminder to all tribe members to reflect on where we came from and the importance of this community.
Jenna “The Effect” Van Cleve’s burnout not only made you sweat but also made you think, get lost and have trouble finding your next teammate in the sea of plankers which is what made it half the fun.
The 3 sitters unanimously chose the perfect person to present the Positivity Award to. This person does more and gives more to the community with the least amount of attention or recognition. She does it simply because she loves deeper than the average person. She, without a doubt, is one of the strongest women in our tribe. She selflessly gives her time to help improve the lives of everyone she meets. Shes created a space, and a legacy for all to be a part of. Today, we finally get to properly recognize her for all her greatness. If you were there you know who I’m talking about and if you are far away reading this and haven’t guessed yet that person is ASHLEIGH VOYCHICK, our OG NPSD leader.
While all this attention was on the “Old Timers”, we don’t ever lose sight of the fact that we too were once “newbies.” And if “newbies” don’t participate, we can’t have this kind of fun. Thanks “newbies,” it’s really about YOU that we get to have this day!
All in all it was another great Wednesday morning at Balboa Park. We bounced, we sweat, we hugged, and we FUCK YEAH-ED! I speak for the whole tribe when I say, this really is something special, worth sharing and getting excited about.
