As the tribe gets ready for #NPSummit2015, our workouts don’t get any easier. Today we trained for the hills in Utah (like we do every week). Today we trained for life (again, like every week). Today we trained while wearing cat pants (see photo at bottom of blog).
This workout has many names however, this doesn’t take away from the intensity of it. Between the short sprints up the slope of Gold Metal Hill and the longer “recovery” jaunt on the winding path that spirals up to the top, tribe members are often left gasping for air by the end of the 30ish minute session.
Oh yeah, don’t let me forget about the 3 fire drills added in at 10, 20, and 30 minutes. 4 workouts were chosen; today’s selections were push-ups, mountain-climbers, boat, and dips; and done for 15, 30, and 45 seconds for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fire drills.
After the final fire drill, the tribe gave out sweaty hugs and gathered for a few announcements. The new lumberjack this week is STU!!! (Alex Hessefort) and the Positivity Award went out to a fellow that made an awesome return to NP and responsible for the cherry-and-spoon tag, Brent Barghahn.
A quick snapshot for the family scrap book and the tribe was off to start the rest of their Wednesday.
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a #Wednesdayearned!!! Way to go tribe, seriously you killed it.
And yes, we do like cat pants.
