NPSF Town Hall Recap

November Project San Francisco

Thank you to everyone who showed up to our Town Hall! We were happy and grateful to see over 20 people attending. Your excitement about NPSF and willingness to help us improve it is inspiring.

Before we recap the meeting, we’d like to define how we’re looking at Diversity and Inclusion. We want NP to be diverse. Why? Because a community is stronger when it is diverse. Because free fitness should be for everyone. NP claims to be an inclusive and welcoming place but we aren’t seeing diversity that reflects that claim. We look at diversity as an indication that we are being inclusive, and the lack of diversity as a sign of places where we are failing to achieve our goal. We would also like to recognize that we will make mistakes and we want all of you to hold us accountable. We’re not afraid to make mistakes as long as we’re pushing for a better NPSF, and know that we are open to receiving any and all feedback from our members. read more

Reflect and Set (SF)

As we approach 2020, I like to reflect on this past year, what we accomplished, what we missed, and what’s next. 2019 was a great year for NPSF. Let’s take a look back at all the awesome things that happened.

We gave back! We started off 2019 with a clothes drive for St Anthony’s and ended the year with a food drive for SF Marin Food Bank. And in-between there were lots of Alta Plaza park cleanups as well as helping out at their Harvest Festival. read more

ECSCA Weekend Breakdown 2019 (SF)

Welcome to “sunny” California! I hope we have good weather for you to enjoy during your stay. I know the decision between ECSCA and Summit was a hard one but we’ll have a fun weekend here too! Here is everything going on so you can plan your time in SF.

During the week, if you get in early, come join us for our Wednesday workout at Alta Plaza (5:30 and 6:30am). Then we have our impromptu Thursday trail runs starting from North Tower Golden Gate Parking Lot at 5:30am (roughly 8.5 mile loop), and our Friday workout (see more below)! There will be an InsideTracker event Wednesday night and there are also a few events being put on by The North Face Thursday and Friday. read more

A Call To Action (SF)

Today, we have a guest post by Nadia Ouhib who has been a strong, consistent member for over two years now. She pushes hard during the workouts and cheers hard every other second. She also is the human to our unofficial NPSF husky mascot, Apache. She was recently awarded the O’Meara helmet and is now here to tell her story. Take it away Nadia! read more

Start 2019 on the Trails (SF)

It’s that time of the year again! Time to set your goals for 2019. And what goal list wouldn’t be complete without a few races?!

We missed our ECSCA race this year due to forest fires so NPSF is rallying behind Run for Amma. This is a great local charity race. The proceeds from the race go to support cancer research. There is a 10k, 30k, and 50k option. Something for every level! Sign up here (discount code: NPSF) and join us as we train together. read more

A Memorably Moist Workout (NPSF)

When people ask me what kinds of workouts we do at November Project, I find it’s easy to associate with what people know, “It’s like running mixed with body weight exercises. You run over there, do some pushups, run over here, do some squats … stuff like that.” What I often leave out is the weird things and interactions that happen in the middle.
